Oh goodness, how special this necklace is to me.
Miscarriage is such an “unspoken broken”—as my favorite author likes to say. It is that thing you don’t think anyone needs to know, and yet you can’t seem to hold all the pain alone. It’s an unspoken heartache that millions of women go through every year.
The month after I miscarried, I wanted to make something I could carry with me that reminded me of the little soul I held, even if it was only a short time. So I doodled around some sketches and came up with the pendant you see now—a little wobbly rainbow holding a tiny heart. I sent that sketch off to be formed into a stamp that I could use to allow others to hold onto the little heart (or hearts) they loved alongside me. I think it’s important to remember our angels and the season our own body and souls went through to carry them. It’s a part of our story—one that we can never forget.
I have found that sharing my story not only brings healing to my soul, but it allows others who are suffering alone to be brave enough to share their story and find that healing, too.
The “Part of Me” necklace is one I will always hold close and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. 💛
